“By Faith Women Received Their Dead Back to Life” – A Call to Rise in Intercession

“By faith women received their dead back to life…” Hebrews 11:35

There is something about this hour something stirring, summoning, awakening that compels me to believe the Lord is calling His daughters into the place of intercession again.

Not passive faith.

Not casual prayer.

But faith that contends.

Faith that refuses to accept death where God has spoken life.

The Pattern of Women Who Refused Finality

Hebrews is not exaggerating. It is recounting real moments in history when women stood in the face of loss and saw heaven respond.

In 1 Kings 17:17–24, the widow of Zarephath watched her son die. Yet she brought the matter before the prophet Elijah. She did not bury the promise. She confronted the crisis with faith — and her son lived again.

In 2 Kings 4:18–37, the Shunammite woman laid her dead son on the prophet’s bed and told her husband, “It is well.” She refused to speak death over what God had given her. She pursued the presence of God until resurrection came.

In Luke 7:11–17, a widow was in the middle of a funeral procession when Jesus stopped it. Even in the march toward burial, heaven can interrupt.

And in John 11, Martha stood before Jesus and said, “Even now…” Even now when it smells like death. Even now when it feels too late. Even now when hope looks buried.

This is not coincidence. This is a pattern.

Women who:

• Refused to accept finality

• Took their pain to God

• Persisted in faith

• Witnessed resurrection

What Is Dead Around You?

Ladies… what looks dead?

Is it:

• A husband far from God?

• A child who has wandered?

• A marriage grown cold?

• A business that collapsed?

• A calling that feels forgotten?

• A church that has lost its fire?

• A neighbourhood gripped by darkness?

We serve a God who still brings life out of death.

But intercession is required.

Rachel Weeping and the Promise of Return

“Thus says the Lord: ‘A voice was heard in Ramah… Rachel weeping for her children…’” Jeremiah 31:15–17

Rachel wept. She grieved. She refused comfort.

Yet God responded:

“Refrain your voice from weeping, your work shall be rewarded, your children shall come back.”

Did you catch that?

Your work shall be rewarded.

Intercession is work.

Prayer is labour.

Standing in the gap costs something.

But heaven calls it rewarded work.

A Wake-Up Call to Women at Ease

“Rise up, you women who are at ease, hear my voice.” Isaiah 32:9

This is not a rebuke. It is a summons.

We cannot sit comfortably while the enemy plunders, steals, kills, and destroys. We are not spectators in spiritual battles involving our families and communities.

We are watchwomen on the wall.

We rise in prayer.

We fast.

We gather.

We refuse discouragement.

We stay positioned until breakthrough manifests.

The “Even Now” Faith

Martha’s declaration , “Even now” is the posture of this season.

Even now, God can save.

Even now, God can restore.

Even now, God can resurrect.

Even now, God can breathe life into what looks finished.

This does not mean we control outcomes. God remains sovereign. His timing is perfect. But we are responsible for our position and our position is prayer.

A Practical Call to Action

Here is the challenge:

• Pick one day a week to fast.

• Choose specific names and situations to contend for.

• Gather other women who refuse to give up.

• Stay consistent.

• Stay on the wall.

• Stay until you see fruit.

Do not be moved by delay.

Do not be moved by silence.

Do not be moved by appearances.

Faith does not quit at the grave.

We Will Receive Our Dead Back to Life

This is not hype.

This is not emotionalism.

This is covenant faith in a resurrection God.

Women of faith have done it before.

Women of faith will do it again.

By faith women received their dead back to life.

And by faith, we will too.
