Bold Identity!

The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.

Acts 4:13

Praise my soul the King of Heaven! To His feet thy tribute bring! All glory to God Almighty!

Romans 8:26

“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.”

Ephesians 6:18 “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests ……. Be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”

The Helper Truly Helps

We humbly admit that bold believers don’t always know what to pray! We thank God for the Holy Spirit who helps our infirmities!

Weakness is not a disqualification; it is the doorway through which the Spirit takes over! Hallelujah!

“Pray at all times” does not mean constant noise; it means unbroken communion. It is not babbling; it is tuning the heart towards the light of God’s mercy and grace!

When identity is settled in Christ, the heart is tuned like an instrument to the frequencies of mercy and grace.

In God’s Kingdom there is a Mercy Seat and the Throne of Grace!

When Romans 8:26 meets Ephesians 6:18, strength is renewed; passion is revived and power is released!

A believer that only prays what he/she understands when it is convenient will eventually lose discernment. Awake!

When words fail you on your knees or in the challenges of life (marriage, finance, parenting, etc.) do not retreat in silence. Yield to the Helper!

Groan if you must! Let Him take over!

Prayer:

Thank You Lord for the Holy Spirit.

Holy Spirit, pray through me. Groan through me. Strengthen me to pray at all times, not from fear but from authority. Let my boldness be the fruit of your Presence and not a performance to impress others. I yield my weakness to Your intercession. I receive courage to trust and obey God at all times in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
