Do you know what's wild?

People with less talent in a particular field that are more committed and disciplined can be more successful and impactful than those who are naturally gifted in that same field but with less commitment and discipline.

Like @johncmaxwell wrote “While talent is necessary for success, it is never sufficient. Talented people are a dime a dozen, but successful people aren’t."

In fact, the most successful people aren’t necessarily the most talented. More than half of Fortune 500 company CEOs had only C or C-minus averages in college.

They have succeeded by using their belief, initiative, focus, perseverance, and character to maximize their innate talent.

Nothing is wrong with talent -- we should be inspired by the way others have shaped our world. But we must also separate what talented people do from who they are. Even they have personal failings.

Without continued work and strong character, they will lose their advantage.

Solomon wrote;

“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; He shall not stand before mean men.”- Proverbs 22:29 KJV

So you’re talented? Great but it’s not enough.

Yea, I definitely recommend @johncmaxwell book “Talent Is Never Enough.”

Don’t forget God will ask you what you did with what He gave you.

I know it’s the weekend and you probably want to just chill… but this is also a good time to reflect and evaluate how you can be more effective.

If you look at other people you may be motivated and some may even inspire you but you need more than that.

You need power- the ability to do, ability to execute, you need the ability to get things done!

That power comes from God! GOD doesn’t just motivate or inspire, He also empowers!

He empowers us to be like Him and to do what He does. What a God!

For clarity.. I’m speaking about Yahweh, who we access through Jesus Christ. There’s nothing wrong with motivation or inspiration but you need power to do what you’ve been motivated and inspired by, otherwise you will be left in frustration.

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” John 14:12
“You shall receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you…” Acts 1:8

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

II Corinthians 3:18 NKJV

“I pray that you will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to you through faith. Then your lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through you! This is the mighty power” Ephesians 1:19 TPT

As you get into the new week, don’t forget to keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith! Also ask the Holy Spirit to enable you this week! He will empower you with the grace you need to do all you need to get done!

The power of God is available to you if you’re in Christ Jesus! Access it by faith!
